The
All’s Well Home program helps you learn how to change from the
inside out. Our goal is to help you change your life, not your
life-style. Our 12 Level Self-Development Curriculum Program will
help you to see the real problem you are dealing with so you can
rebuild your life. Recovery is a process of goal achievement, very
much like climbing a ladder, and each step is a new goal, another
step closer to recovery. We will help you learn how to develop your
own goals.
Our
Learning Center is a full classroom where you will learn life skills,
social skills, and anger management. You will also learn time
management, how to handle your finances, computer and job skills, how
to write a resume, and how to search for a job. We will give you tips
on what to say, questions to ask, and what to wear to a job
interview. You will have a chance to work on your academic education.
We offer training material for preparing you for your GED test. Some
of our guests have taken on-line college classes. Before you know it
you will develop a level of strength that will help you deal
confidently with life’s challenges.
All
we ask of you is to be honest about what you want out of life.
What
do you need to change in order to get there?
When
you can answer that question, think about how you’re going to do
all of that.
Do
you have any idea of where to start?
If
you are serious and ready for radical change, talk to us. Back
People
often ask us what they should expect when they enter the All’s Well
Home. What’s it like living in one of the All’s Well Home or what
can we do for them?
When
you first enter any of the homes, you will be issued fresh, clean
sheets and a pillow case, a blanket, a pillow, and a towel and wash
cloth. You only need your personal clothing and toiletries. However,
we know that sometimes guests may not have very much, especially when
they first enter the program. Fortunately, many times we are able to
help you get most of the things you really need.
All’s
Well Home works closely with a number of states and county agencies,
including parole and probation, and with the courts. We write letters
for our guests, and, if necessary, can even appear in court with
them.
We
do not provide or offer legal representation for guest, but we have a
list of attorneys, some of which offer free consultation and low cost
services. Guests are free to contact an attorney of their choice.
We
do accept guests who take medications. It is up to them to take their
medications on time, and only in the amount prescribed. In order to
protect their medications, we provide them with secure lockers for
their use.
If
you need to see a doctor, we have a list of low cost (and sometimes
free) doctors, medical clinics, and dentists. If you do not already
have medical insurance we will help you get MSI or Medi Cal if you
qualify.
One
of the most important things for our guests who can work is finding a
job, so we have a list of referrals to employers and job agencies
that are known to be “felony friendly”. Also, we do receive
information about job openings and referrals from private sources and
from the State Employment Development Department.
There
is personal spiritual guidance, mentoring and encouragement
available.
